🧠 第1回 Cutting Academy Basic Course を開催しました！
2025年10月11日（土）、東北医科薬科大学病院大会議室にて「第1回 Cutting Academy Basic Course」を開催しました。
本コースは、脳神経外科手術で使用される**ハイスピードドリルと超音波吸引装置（Sonopet）**の構造と作動原理を理解し、より安全で精密な操作を身につけることを目的としたハンズオン形式の講習会です。
日本ストライカー株式会社のご協力のもと、レクチャーと実習を組み合わせた充実した内容となりました。
講師には、ストライカー社NSEマーケティングの中村貴広氏をお迎えし、ドリルやソノペットの特徴、臨床現場での安全な使い方などを丁寧にご解説いただきました。
後半のハンズオンセッションでは、豚肩骨や模擬骨を用いた実践的トレーニングを行い、参加者は真剣かつ楽しみながら手技を習得していました。
なかには、ドリルを用いて卵の殻に繊細な模様を描くトレーニングも行われ、繊細な手の感覚を養う貴重な機会となりました。
今回のコースには、東北医科薬科大学脳神経外科の医師、研修医、留学生ら計約20名が参加し、終始活気のある雰囲気の中で実技に取り組みました。
参加者からは「機器の特徴を改めて理解できた」「臨床にすぐ応用できる内容だった」といった声が多く聞かれ、次回への期待が高まっています。
今後も、当科では若手医師・研修医のスキル向上を目的としたトレーニングプログラムを継続して開催していきます。
The 1st Cutting Academy Basic Course was successfully held!
On October 11, 2025, we held the 1st Cutting Academy Basic Course at Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University Hospital.
This hands-on training course focused on understanding the structure and mechanism of high-speed drills and ultrasonic aspirators (Sonopet) used in neurosurgery, aiming to enhance precision and safety in surgical procedures.
With the support of Stryker Japan, the course combined lectures and practical training.
Mr. Takahiro Nakamura from Stryker’s NSE Marketing Division delivered an excellent lecture on the principles, safety, and technical nuances of the devices.
During the hands-on session, participants practiced using porcine bone and artificial bone models, improving their fine motor control.
A creative session using eggshells for delicate drilling exercises added a fun and memorable element to the training.
About 20 participants, including faculty members, residents, and international trainees from our department, took part in the event.
The session was lively and highly interactive, receiving excellent feedback from attendees who expressed that they gained practical insights applicable to daily surgery.
We will continue to provide such educational programs to foster the growth of young neurosurgeons.
