インドネシア・バンドンにあるパジャジャラン大学脳神経外科より、脊髄外科の研修のために6か月間、東北医科薬科大学脳神経外科に在籍されていたファルハン先生が、本日無事に研修を修了され、帰国されました。
6か月という限られた期間ではありましたが、実に99件の脊椎・脊髄手術を経験され、臨床・手術の両面で大きく成長されました。帰国後は、ご自身の大学病院で新たに脊椎・脊髄外科部門を立ち上げる予定とのことで、今後のご活躍が心から楽しみです。
本研修にあたり、東北医科薬科大学整形外科、西多賀病院整形外科の先生方には多大なるご支援を賜りました。日々の診療・手術を通して、ファルハン先生に貴重な経験を積ませていただき、心より感謝申し上げます。
また、日本滞在中はインドネシアのご友人たちとも交流を深めながら、日本の四季を存分に楽しまれたようです。富士山や月山をはじめとした日本の山々での登山やハイキング、そして日本のサウナ文化にもすっかり魅了されたとのことでした。
6か月間、本当にお疲れさまでした。

Today, Dr. Farhan has begun his journey back to Indonesia.
Dr. Farhan came from the Department of Neurosurgery, Universitas Padjadjaran in Bandung, Indonesia, to our department at Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University for a six-month fellowship in spinal surgery. Today, he has successfully completed his training and returned home.
During these six months, he gained experience in an impressive total of 99 spine and spinal cord surgeries, achieving remarkable growth in both clinical practice and surgical skills. After returning to Indonesia, he plans to establish a new spine and spinal cord surgery unit at his own university hospital. We sincerely wish him every success in this important new challenge.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the physicians of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University and Nishitaga Hospital for their tremendous support. Thanks to their generous guidance, Dr. Farhan was able to gain invaluable experience throughout his training.
During his stay in Japan, he also enjoyed spending time with his Indonesian friends and fully experienced the beauty of the four seasons. He especially enjoyed hiking and climbing in the Japanese mountains, including Mt. Fuji and Mt. Gassan, and even became a big fan of Japanese sauna culture.
We truly appreciate his dedication over these six months and wish him continued success and a bright future in Indonesia.
